About/FAQ

I amThe Face Replacer. I find hilarious pictures online featuring people with replaced faces and I post them for everyone to see. I also edit submitted photos so you too can have your face replaced. I don’t always have access to my replacing software, so please be patient.

F.A.Q.

1- What software do you use to edit the pictures?

I use Photoshop and sometimes even Microsoft Paint.

2- Where do you find these pictures to post/edit?

I’m constantly browsing the Internet and when I see a photo that catches my eye, I edit it and post it for everyone. The other way that I get these pictures is through the highly appreciated submission (either already edited or not).

3- How many followers do you currently have?/When did you make this blog?

As of 04/03/12, I have 2077 followers… but it’s rapidly increasing. I made Face Replace on August 3rd, 2010!

4- Who runs this blog/Who are you?

Only I do and I prefer to keep my true identity out of the picture. I would like to keep this blog about having a good laugh, rather than getting a lot of Internet recognition… for lack of a better word. My real self is known for more experienced photographing and editing skills and this doesn’t exactly fit into that category. Hahaha.

5- Can I send you a picture that you can edit?

Most definitely. Go here. Please let me know who’s face to use and please don’t send me a photo that’s impossible to edit.

6- Why does it take so long for you to edit my pictures?

Ouch. I am a full time student, with a job, and.. well.. a life. I spend most of my nights studying, reading lengthy textbooks, working, spending time with my family, and with my friends. On top of that, I don’t always have access to a computer with Photoshop. Believe me, I’m trying very hard to get these pictures edited for you. Please be patient! I will get them done for you as soon as possible.

7- My face was replaced and I don’t like it here/Why am I in a picture/Who sent you a picture of me/&*%$ YOU.

Ah. Well. I would like to ask you all to first get consent from the people in your photos and/or don’t send in photos of people who won’t find it funny to have their photo online or face replaced.

I will tell you now, it is not my fault if you have your photo on here, it is the fault of the person who sent it in. I delete the messages after I download the photo and then edit and publish them later on, so I do not know who sent it in. I cannot keep track of everyone! I do not know who sent in the photos unless it was already face-replaced because I just publish them (a submission).

I am sorry if your photo is on here and you don’t want it to be. I will take it down if you ask me nicely, explain your reason and send me a link to the post.

8- Will you follow me back?

No, I will not. This isn’t my personal Tumblr, so I cannot follow you without giving away my anonymity. I would love to follow everyone, but.. ahhh.. I can’t. I’m sorry.. =(

9- Can I help out with the blog?/Can you make me a member?

Sorry, I’m not accepting any help at this time. However, editing your own photo and sending in a link would be amazing. Or by uploading a photo to your blog and tagging it with “face replace” for me to reblog would help a lot! (That way you get some credit)

10- Okay, it’s really bugging me, who are you?

Again, I can’t say who I am. If you believe you know who I am because I have edited a photo of yours, you are incorrect. I have yet to come across a photo of someone I know. Maybe one day I will say who I am, but for now… it’s about the content, not the creator.
